The word Metcon is an abbreviation of the words “Metabolic Conditioning”, Therefore, the Metcon training refers to a type of training where the goal is to improve metabolism (its efficiency), thus improving physical and health parameters. Metcon training is a high intensity training system that causes improvements in muscular performance and in the energy management of our body, increasing efficiency of the metabolic pathways (energy pathways) involved (phosphagens, glycolysis, oxidative), and in which a large amount of energy is used in a short time. The fundamental objectives of this activity are the reduction of fat, and the increase in muscle mass. The methodologies we use in these classes are, among others, the Tabatas, AMRAP, EMOM, HIIT etc…
